On the third day of Merry Thank-you-mas…

I would like to take a moment to thank Jacqui, I don’t recall the exact sequence of us connecting. I shall call it serendipity that we kept on running into each other at the same train station… while I was busy doing pokemon gym battles… (I’m totally an adult!)

A lot of the great opportunities I have been involved with and wonderful people I have met I can trace back to her. She is one of the very few I have met in my career to date that walks her talk and just genuinely want to help people without expecting anything in return.

She has a day job, but also founded AWSN (Australian Women in Security Network) in her own time. Her work over the past few years have made a difference to many in the industry.

One of the first things that really got me into supporting students and early career professionals was through AWSN Cadets, an AWSN outreach program that is designed to support female identifying university students and early career professionals.

Thanks Jacqui for giving me the nudge I often need to set foot in the ring!
