A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words...

“I’m going to make you a logo for your website, you can’t not have a logo!” - Hellen Li (Graphics Designer, my friend).

A few months ago on a cold day, between sips of hot chocolate, or was it tea… [my memory fails me]. Hellen let me know, under no circumstances should I have a website without a a symbol representing me and what message I want to share.

In my years of being alive, I’ve learnt in general to not take people’s words for granted. I’m just grateful to have friends, I don’t expect any of my friends to actually go out of their way to help me.

You can imagine my awe as we sat in Godiva afterwork one evening, as Hellen pulled out her notebook and showed me hand drawn sketches of what she had in mind.

Thus began my logo journey…

I’m beyond grateful for all the help and support I have received along the way. I would also like to thank my friends, Chrissy, Nicole and Kathy; also my colleagues Steve and Jarrod. All of whom have been hit with a barrage of pictures as the logo evolved.

The logo represents:

Shield - traditional controls that are built on known knowledge
Owl - wisdom and knowledge
Door - waiting to be opened and reveal what remains hidden
